I am ALMOST ready with the @Home|Away info sheet for retreat registrants. Just a couple of details I need to confirm before I can email it out to you all. @Home|Away Weekend retreat - Workshop Day 8.30am - 4.30pm
Saturday is our WORKSHOP DAY.
We wanted the retreat to be flexible in that you could participate as much or as little as you wanted to over the weekend. While there's certainly plenty to do over the weekend with the included Workshops and Make & Take Mini Class, we are thrilled to announce THREE EXTRA WORKSHOPS for those of you keen to attend some extra classes, learn some new techniques and skills and create some beautiful projects.
Each workshop will run for TWO HOURS in our separate CLASSROOM commencing at 8.30am and concluding around 4.30pm. You can book into one, two or all three workshops.
We also know that not everyone wants to do all of the workshops which is why we have made them OPTIONAL EXTRAS. For those not attending the extra workshops, you will have plenty of relaxing scrapping time in the main Scrapping Room throughout Saturday. The Make Takes will continue to run over Saturday for those not attending the extra classes.
WORKSHOP ONE - MOVING RIGHT ALONG
Join our talented Support Team member, Mardi from South Australia, in this fast paced layout class where you will create THREE single layouts using a glorious selection of papers from Webster Pages, Cosmo Cricket, Lux and Jenni Bowlin AND including product from Elle's Studio, Pink Paislee, Crafty Matters, The Craft Queen and Eeveea. Throw in some book paper, fabric, buttons, crocheted flowers, lace and trim and you have a gorgeous, very "Mardi" kit that she can't wait to share with you.
Learn how to mix and match brands and products as Mardi guides you step by step through the process of creating three fun and fresh layouts. Each layout will make a beautiful addition to your scrapbook album! You will pick up lots of little tips and tricks along the way and learn how to make the most of your scrapping supplies from Mardi.
If there's one thing Mardi can do, it's pull together an inspiring and eclectic kit and she's done just that with her MOVING RIGHT ALONG workshop kit. And wait until you see what she creates with all of these wonderous goodies!!!

I know you are all bursting to hear about the additional classes we will have on offer and I hope to release class descriptions and additional costs very soon.

I have had lots of email enquiries about different things such as what to bring to the retreat and how does the accommodation etc work..and I am setting up a question and answer post which I hope to upload very soon. This hopefully, will answer some of your questions.

Sooo, I finished the Mix & Match MAKE AND TAKE for the retreat.
Wanna see another peek..last peek for now...
Lots of layers and fun elements....and YES, we can make this in the 15minute timeslot - NO pressure. Everything will be cut and ready to go and basically, you will just be whacking it all into place...
You need ON 4x6inch landscape orientated photo of a feminine theme - girls, friends, sisters, cousins etc. Black & white OR colour.
* I'll be sending a full list of requirements for all projects once the retreat draws nearer.
Sooo, its time for a teeny weeny sneaky peek of our first Make & Take project for the @Home|Away Weekend Retreat.
Now...I want the retreat Make and Takes to be like mini classes!! Where we make something quite substantial, learn a new technique and generally you will walk away with something worthwhile - all within a short timeframe. You receive ONE make and take class in your weekend package (as well as the two full workshops) and then we have a set of FOUR make and takes which can be purchased as optional extras.
In your WEEKEND PACKAGE you will receive entry to this Make & Take designed by me called MIX & MATCH.
The Make and Takes will run in small groups for about 15-20mins at a time over the weekend at various time slots. Everything except your photos will be included in the make and takes - even adhesive and cutting tools and I will let you know what photos you will need to bring once the retreat is closer.
The Mix & Match - Make and Take (quite a mouthful!!) will have lots of elements on display to choose from including those cute fabric flowers you see above and also book paper, fabric, paper strips and lots of other layers and textures to play with.
I'll show you how to pull a collage-y look mini layout together in just fifteen, YES fifteen minutes flat!
And I'll add more sneak peeks as they become available....VERY exciting.
