What a GREAT weekend.
It was such a fun weekend and I was so sad to wave goodbye to my houseguests this morning.
Julie, Vicki, baby Maryia (I've probably spelt that wrong..sorry Vicki!!) and Fiona had a sleepover party at my house:))))...and Janelle and Megan joined us for afternoon tea on Saturday afternoon before we headed to Jen's for her birthday party.
My house was NOISY!! And I loved it. We talked and talked and talked and laughed. It was as if we had all known each other forever. Fiona spoilt us with her DELICIOUS mudcake cupcakes with such cute little marshmallow flower toppers!! MMM MMM.
We shared photo albums. It always amazes me how much detail you can't see online or in the mags!! All the littleinteractive bits and texture and layers you can only see and appreciate in real life.
There was so much to look at and hard to take it all in!! it was sensory overload!!!
And then came the photo shoot.
Here's a few..
I think Megan with her big fancy nancy Canon EOS 350D (the camera I desperately want) got the best photos so I am sure she will share them on her own blog.
And Julie has shared an interesting photo on her blog too...
So then off we went and dined in style for dinner at McDonalds!! Chosen because it was quick and easy and baby friendly:) not for it's gourmet selections.. and then we headed to Jen's house.
Well, what can I say!!
Jen's studio is the most well stocked work area I have ever seen. I can't believe how much stuff she had! It was bursting at the seams with product! And all her gorgeous creations were adorning the walls and shelves!
Here are the happy party goers and a glimpse of only a fraction of Jen's studio!!
She went to SO much trouble!!
Isn't it cute!! I even have a little jewel behind my ear - so cute.
Chock full of lollies and chocolates and a challenge pack with paper, ribbon, buttons, flowers, fabric strips and so many bits and pieces included.
We have a week to create a layout and email it to Jen to be in the running for some prizes she had put together!
We then headed home and ate more cupcakes, looked through the albums again and flipped through some of the newer magazines and talked and talked and talked! Again. it was a late night.
Sadly though Jamison woke through the night vomiting (fantastic!) and has spent most of today throwing up and sleeping (not at the same time:) so looks like a day at home with me tomorrow.
Seriously, he is quite sick the poor petal!
So, this morning I farewelled my friends, wished they all lived closer and then I started the countdown to Kiwi Scraps in August!
Hope you all had a great weekend.
