This month Erica chose a great collection of Gin X papers for the Boxx of Scraps. Here's my creation using the kit.

This is a GREAT shop! Packed with treasures. Such an ecclectic mix of stuff. It's the sort of inviting store that you want to explore every little inch of! And, yes, check out that wonderful mermaid creation hanging from the ceiling!!
I'm lucky enough to be teaching a one day workshop there in a few weeks time. And I'm really looking forward to it!
The workshop is already booked out but we have plans for more guest teaching days next year as well.
So if you are ever in the area - Cooranbong NSW, call in and see the girls and say hi!
And to Cath, Janelle and Bee (thanks for posting on my blog and I look forward to meeting you:O), I'll see you soon!

I would have taken a photo of ...
* Jamison dressed in black flarey pants with sparkly silver cuffs, a sparkly silver shirt, beads and a HUGE grin from ear to ear.
* Those very beads getting caught in Jamison's mouth as he did a big spin across the stage!
* Jamison sliding across the stage on his knees and NOT sliding off the edge into the audience, which was his fear.
* Jamison and his whole group groovin' and movin' to Stayin' Alive.
* Jamison with his hair spiked with gel and glitter
* Jamison so proud of himself for performing in public, on a stage, dancing in front of a HUGE crowd.
* Jamison doing some pretty darn cool rap movements! And I didn't even know he could do it!(Before the concert he told me he hadn't quite got the hang of one of the moves! Seems it was this one and he DID IT! So he was pretty pleased with himself)
BUT I didn't get ANY photos and I am SERIOUSLY REGRETTING IT. In fact today I feel really sad about it.
It was a FABULOUS night. All the schools performances were of such a high standard. The kids have all been rehearsing for so long - and it showed! They were great!
There's nothing nicer than hearing kids singing and watching them dancing and enjoying life! There were tiny little kinder kids right through to high school students! Such a wonderful celebration of youth and life!
So, no photos to share other than this one of Jamison in his school uniform this morning. Still with his hair spiked and glittered! Not that you can really tell anyway!!
*sigh* Next time, I'm not obeying any rules! I will be TAKING MY CAMERA!

Not much blogging time this week. Too many deadlines at the moment:) WHY is everything always due at once!
Love this new, totally gorgeous site Tarisota Collections. Beautiful kits. Great website! Love it.
We're off to the Hunter Catholic Schools Cluster Festival tonight. VERY surprisingly Jamison is involved in the concert. This is the boy who DREADS dancing or singing at school - anything where he is on public display. We were shocked he decided to be part of this years concert.
It means wearing black pants, silver shirt and groovy beaded necklace and dancing to the Bee Gees' Stayin Alive! it means wearing his hair super slicked with gel! It means dancing in front of 1400 people at the Panthers Club in town along with many other Hunter schools. And it means he has given up many of his lunchtimes last term for rehearsals and a Sunday for more practise.
And now he's nervous. He told me this morning he didn't want to do it anymore. Um, bit late now.
So we are heading off in a few hours for our big night on the town. Again, no cameras! What is it with these places! Don't they KNOW we HAVE to capture EVERYTHING on film!
Other news: Brandt had a tick embedded in his back. Ouch. We couldn't remove it so it meant a trip to casuality and a local so the doc could dig it out. They are stubborn little things, those ticks!
And I'm teaching a day workshop at a funky store at Cooranbong. Stay tuned. I have some pics of the store I have to download and will post shortly..

So, this is what you do when you have a mile of deadlines to meet, 50 million RAKs(to the challenge girls - yes those RAKs are coming along nicely but not ready to post just yet!), class samples to finish(actually, class samples to start!) and some graphic design work to do (I've been doing some freelance stuff) - YOU MAKE A LAYOUT. A totally, not for anything, cause I can layout!
Here it is. Using whatever was sitting on my table at the time. One of me and Ken.
I find black backgrounds so hard to scan. Photo is printed onto canvas paper - again hard to scan - but you get the idea.

I don't know what's happened this week. Thursday already and I have had a long to do list this week and am still no where near through everything.
So hard getting back into the groove after being away. I am still waiting for my cous to get back to me about me posting wedding pics here.
In the meantime, I wanted to post about meeting up with Rozzie and Erica for lunch while we were away.
What a pair of lovely girls. Both so friendly and welcoming. And check out this photo wallet.
Hot pink and with the cutest little flower tie thingo on the front. I LOVE it. And it was TOTALLY unexpected. Such a nice gesture and complete with a Rozzie original gift card too! I was very spoilt. After our lunch we headed to a scrapshop and did some shopping and I got to look at both of their GORGEOUS albums. I wished I had have had more time to study their work and take it all in.
HUGE congrats to both of these talented girls too for their positions on the Masters team for 2006!!! Anyway, I was devastated when we reached the scrapshop to discover I had left my present behind in the coffee shop. THANKFULLY an honest person out there handed it in and it returned safely to where it belonged - WITH ME! So thanks you Roz and Erica for a lovely afternoon. Have finally downloaded my gazillion photos from our holiday. Not that I will bore you all to death with sharing too many, but firstly, here's some of where we stayed. A gorgeous 3 bedroom apartment right opposite the beach. Called La Grande, you can check it out here.
The unit was very spacious, thankfully as mum and dad stayed with us so it certainly was a full house! Here's mum and Brandt on the balcony! Stay tuned for more photos later tonight.

We are home.
I have mixed emotions about being home. I do love my own bed but I just loved escaping from our every day life. And spending carefree days without any real schedule. Doing everything at our own pace. Enjoying the sunshine and the surf and the sand. 8 days was just TOO SHORT.
I spent one lovely afternoon with Roz and Erica. Wish it had have been longer. Thanks girls for a great lunch and scrap shop visit!!! More about that later.

We're off to the Gold Coast tomorrow morning. Early. All organised and ready to go. Can't wait. It's my cousin's wedding and the reception is being held at Versace! Very swish! Big family affair.
And then we are spending some time in an apartment at Broadbeach. Right on the beach. Perfect!
Looking forward to catching up with Roz and Erica for lunch!!
The RAKs aren't quite ready to send yet so I will sort them out when I return:O)
And keep an eye out for the Boxx newsletter as it's due out while I am away. Lots of great stuff coming up in it too. I've seen a sneak peek of some of the layouts!! Gorgeous!!
