I recently met up with Janelle at our local shopping centre - sorta half way between our two homes, for an impromptu book signing session!
I needed a couple of books signed for a few special customers and had Janelle sign a few more books while I was there. Well, the signed copies have just flown out the door but I have ONE signed copy left in the @Home shop.

Happy birthday to my lovely friend Margaret - we've known each other for a looooong time! And here we are, 32 years later - still friends! Pretty cool hey!
Everything about the 80's was colourful!
Bold patterns, vibrant colours, loud pants and checked jackets. Looking good! I LOVED my checked cardigan and I know Margaret loved those patterned pants cause we wore those outfits ALL the time!!!
And there's nothing like a good old sing along with Tracey (Margaret's sister) on lead vocals with her Impulse bottle microphone and me and Margaret on back ups!
Ah, the memories.

We've been busy again behind the scenes working on several new classes for the @Home site and I am THRILLED that this class is finally opened up for registration.

Gigi shows us how to incorporate trim and ribbons into our work as well as guide us step by step in how to add a crepe paper photo frame to your page.
This class is loaded up with content.And we wanted to unveil each little tidbit progressively over a number of days so you have time to read and absorb and try the ideas rather than be confronted with a whole lot of content in one big hit! There's TWO step by step layout projects, mini projects, samples, tips and techniques and lots of Support Team samples as well.
The class will run from 22-26 June 2010 with daily uploads and the classroom will then remain open until 1 August 2010.

So today I am sick. My kids have been sick all week with the flu and they kindly passed it onto me. Thanks for that. So I have little energy.
And we have houseguests arriving for the weekend tonight. And our home looked like I don't know what - desperately needed a clean up! And I have a truckload of work to get through. And a pile of washing.
And I guess I didn't really know where to start..soooo I decided to paint our entry.
As you do when you have a to list as long as your arm!
I wanted to change the pale green to a bright aqua - the same colour as our family room feature wall and I must say, it's all nicely finished, photos hung back up and looking wonderful.
Too dark for photos tonight.
And my house is clean. Guest beds all made up. Takeaway for dinner. Second load of washing on. Some emails answered. And I am exhausted!

I am LOVING the new Hipstamatic APP for my iPhone...It's my new little time waster...and I have decided today is a Hipstamatic day and I have taken happy snaps ALL morning.
Much to the delight of my children.
Capri declared that she was glad she would be at school for six hours and away from the Hipstamatic crazed mother I have turned into! Overnight I might add. It's all Janelle's fault..well really, it's actually all Lisa's fault as she emailed me a gorgeous layout of herself with a very funky little self portrait that she had taken with Hipstamatic through her iPhone for our recent Friday Night Live mini event on the @Home site...and then Janelle went crazy with Hipstamatic photos and I took one using her iPhone yesterday during the book signing...and now..it's my turn!
Soooo.
Here's my morning in photos thus far! It started early..6.45am when I stumbled out of bed, noted the torrential downpour and as Jamison only had half a day at school today and his plaster can't get wet or it will disintegrate, plus his exams are all finished as of yesterday, I decided to keep him home!
So I went back to bed. Quite a novelty to catch another 30minutes of zzz's.
This one wasn't so keen to get going either this morning. Must be the weather. But she was very good natured knowing her brother was staying home and she wasn't and she was soon up and about with her usual cheery morning happy face!
7.30am I checked emails..ok...so I am still learning how to use the Hipstamatic so please excuse dark and fuzzy shots!
A lunch order day today as I desperately need to do groceries!
And this one uses our ensuite every morning! So we share the mirror during teeth brushing and hair doing!
Oh look. Late as usual. We dashed out the door at four minutes to nine. Lucky the school isn't too far away!
It's a rainy, casual, pony tail, jeans and sneakers kind of day.
With Capri at school I headed to the post box to check the mail and post off some more of Janelle's book orders.
And to dodge puddles, check for mail and wish I had never put on my super long length jeans and my sneakers afterall as my hems were sopping wet by the time I got back into my car!
And then it's time to head home..our turn off is only a short distance up this hill and to the left..
I silently curse the fact Brandt does not have 5 pairs of feet and yet he is continually leaving SO many shoes at the front door. I hate it. He knows I hate it and he keeps conveniently forgetting I hate it.
and then it's cereal time.
and that's all for this morning because I have been working ever since!
Wasn't that riveting reading everyone! Another exciting, action filled morning in the Archer household...back to work for me!

We are sold out of the pre-ordered and signed books from Janelle! Wow! Thanks everyone for such a fantastic response.
I visited Janelle yesterday for a mammoth book signing session..it was lovely to catch up with Janelle and have a chat and a cuppa!!!
And she surprised me with an autographed copy of the book and a beautiful stitched zipper pouch filled with goodies! Will share photo later today!
Even though we are sold out of the pre-ordered signed copies, I will be receiving another shipment of Janelle's books (unsigned) toward the end-ish of next week (10 June) ...ORDER YOUR COPY HERE!

Meant to add this in a few days ago..
Janelle wrote a book...clever thing she is:)
And I'm pleased to announce I am stocking it in the @Home shop. I have been lucky enough to see most of the projects first hand (and all the projects are gorgeous!) and also to help with photography and until yesterday when Janelle told me, I didn't even know that some of my photos ended up in the book - cool hey!
I am taking pre-orders at the moment BUT my shipment of books is hopefully due to arrive today or tomorrow. I only have a few extra copies once I fill all the pre-orders so hurry if you want to secure your copy from this shipment.
